As we cruised well into the 21st century, to keep up with our technologically advanced world, new job titles started emerging all over the internet and in our workplace. I remember during the 2008 recession, a law firm in our executive office suite hired 80 contract attorneys for document review. For eight to ten hours a day this was all they did. Then, I started seeing all kinds of positions for social media. When I saw the first posting for a Social Media Manager, I couldn’t fathom why someone would need one. Fast forward to today, of course I understand now. I need to hire one myself! Others such as Digital Branding Ambassador, Online Advertising Manager, Search Engine Optimization Specialist, and a slew of other new job postings are popular now as well. Not only due to the internet, but several new engineering titles such as DevOps Engineer, Big Data Consultant, Azure Specialist, Stem Cell Researcher and so on have pushed job seekers to prepare their resume.
Now, here we are in another recession and although many jobs have either been put on hold or become extinct, there are several new ones that our clients have been applying for.
The following jobs have either developed due to Covid-19, or are in even higher demand than previous years due to the pandemic and the crusade to enforce equality around the world.
