This is a repost from the old Wendy Knows blog
During the holiday season, the employment industry tends to slow down. Most job candidates used to put their search on hold because of this. For the past few years however, we have noticed in the career services industry that more and more candidates are using this time to prepare their career strategy for when that slow down or hiring freeze is over and done with. They want to be the first in line. Things tend to pick back up around mid January, and in full bloom by the middle of February. Although the economy has picked up with record hiring stats, we’ve been hearing a lot of people say they have no problems with getting interviews, but still not landing their dream job. So, for this month of December I decided to do an interview series for everyone.
Wondering why you’re not getting any real interviews?
Are you getting interviews, but getting nowhere?
Tired of going on multiple interviews only to be told NO?
I’ll talk about these things and give you all kinds of reasons that may apply to you along with tips to help you improve your job search. There will be four topics with one featured each week. So check back. You never know what might help you! As always, good luck in your career search!
